Learn-to-swim Level 2: Fundamentals of Aquatic Skills
Prerequisites
Students must be able to consistently demonstrate the following skills to start in Level 2:

Swim on front with face in the water, take a breath, continue swimming skills:(independently about 5 yards)

Roll over from front to back and float for 5-10 seconds (independently)

Swim on back using arms and/or legs (independently about 5 yards)
Learning Objectives
- Build on basics learned in Preschool/Level 1
- Learn basic components of Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Elementary Backstroke
- Introduction to treading
- Introduction to deeper water (5-7ft location dependent)
- Begin to increase swimming distances
Skills to be Mastered in Order to Move to Level 3:
- Demonstrate basic competency of Front Crawl, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly and Elementary Backstroke
- Swim Front Crawl with rotary breathing and Backstroke about 15 yards
- Tread water 30-60 seconds
